The New Improved OO PHP5

Been trying to figure out what was the big need to give PHP all the OO features. PHP is good at Hypertext processing and its biggest advantage is that its extremely easy and satisfies most requirements. Now I do understand that OO is something nice to have, but not too sure if PHP requires it. Is this just to give me bPHP (Bloated with feature I would never use) ???? Hmm.....
